The ABS Trust will accept applications from early career researchers (students or within 5 years of PhD) to support activities such as but not limited to presentation of their research at a conference, attendance of an appropriate workshop, visit to an overseas laboratory etc. It is unlikely that the ABS Trust UK Bursary will be able to provide the full costs of the activity and will not normally exceed £500. Within your application, please indicate whether a matching or greater contribution will be made available by your institution or other funding source.
Applicants are invited to complete the Association of British Spectroscopists Trust Bursary application form.
The ABS Trust defines early career as being either a student, or an employee in a non-tenured academic post or in industry, within 5 years of award of PhD excluding career breaks.
Your application will be reviewed by the Trustees and an email reply with the outcome should be received within 28 days of receiving your application.
