The ABS Trust defines early career as being either a student, or an employee in a non-tenured academic post or in industry, within 5 years of award of PhD excluding career breaks. The same conditions apply to each bursary.
Your application will be reviewed by the Trustees and an email reply with the outcome should be received within 28 days of receiving your application.

It is unlikely that the ABS Trust UK Bursary will be able to provide the full costs of a conference/meeting attendance; a conference/meeting attendance bursary will not normally exceed £500, and will typically be between £250 and £500. An application which also draws upon other funding sources (i.e., for example, matching the ABS contribution) will therefore be looked upon favourably. Within your application, please indicate whether a matching or greater contribution will be made available by your institution or other funding source:
